Truth...(Our 1st Blog...EVER.)

Welcome!

This blog belongs to David and Kendra Rudibaugh. We love Jesus, His Church, play disc golf competitively, play and write music, are expecting our first baby this November, love our families, love our friends, and dig truth.

As people who've been received by God & have received Him, We have been set free for freedom's sake.

Unfortunately, the traditions of man that are so precious to so many(especially here in America and western culture) leave the masses of believers enslaved. The warning of Colossians 2:8 has been ignored and slavery has become our culture's spiritual reality.

We encourage you to Live free in Christ. Test all things and hold on to what's good.

Here is a list of some of the things that we believe are good and enjoy...

  1. Some people may not know Colossians 2:8. I didn't have it memorized myself, though I have read it and heard it many times. I think the Amplified Bible puts it wonderfully (and for those of you who do not know, the Amplified Bible is a very accurate, literal translation; please note that the words within parentheses are not translation, they are expounding on the meaning of the text by bringing out the deeper meanings of the Greek or Hebrew words used for that specific text):

    Colossians 2:8 (Amplified Bible)

    (8) See to it that no one carries you off as spoil or makes you yourselves captive by his so-called philosophy and intellectualism and vain deceit (idle fancies and plain nonsense), following human tradition (men's ideas of the material rather than the spiritual world), just crude notions following the rudimentary and elemental teachings of the universe and disregarding [the teachings of] Christ (the Messiah).
